We’re here to help.

For the longest time, I have actually constantly sung the praises of Aweber for my e-mail marketing. This weekend I decided that it’s no longer for me … Here’s a fast comparison of Aweber vs GetResponse. Get Response Questions.

I made the switch from, arguably the most popular autoresponder among marketers, to another one that had far more functions that I wanted.

I switched over to GetResponse. I feel a bit bad about my choice. I’ve been with Aweber considering that about 2008 and I’ve constantly loved them and promoted them as an affiliate. We had a good run, I had a massive mailing list with them, we had good times together but it needed to come to an end …

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with Aweber at all. I still believe they are a great company and I still would not think twice to give them a great recommendation if someone asked me about them. I’m just digging a few of the functions of GetResponse a bit more.

First off … A major essential aspect for me was that I needed a service that I might import existing lists to. I wished to keep the lists that I built in Aweber and GetResponse allows you to import whatever over without making individuals re-confirm their emails. Aweber doesn’t use this. If I wanted to import a list from another service in to Aweber, I would need to ask every single individual on the list to verify their e-mail address again. This would undoubtedly shrink my list …

Sure, it could be argued that having individuals re-confirm would only ensure that my list is as responsive as possible. In my mind though, it’s an annoyance to a great deal of people on my list. They are getting one additional email from me that I would not otherwise have to send out. Some individuals may not see the re-confirmation e-mail because it went to spam or they neglected it … People that would have wanted to keep receiving communications from me may have been cut off … Get Response Questions.

With GetResponse, this wasn’t a concern. I had the ability to import everybody over without any issues.

Second … GetResponse has awesome automation tools. You can trigger e-mails to head out based upon specific occasions.

You can send out an e-mail to people immediately on their birthday or if they opened a previous email or even if they reached a specific page on your site. It’s quite effective. Aweber allows you to do some of this with broadcasts that you develop by hand but it’s not offered as an automated function in your follow up sequence. This stuff is big to keep your list engaged.

Automation
Both AWeber and GetResponse offer some convenient alternatives when it pertains to autoresponders and more complicated automation.

In GetResponse, setting up autoresponders is an easy job. You just need to click Produce an autoresponder and select the name and due date and time that you believe work best for you. Get Response Questions.

You can also use GetResponse’s Autofunnel feature, which includes ready-made and automatic sales funnels (to offer your products and services), list-building funnels (to grow and support your audience) and webinar funnels (to share and monetize your know-how).

You can release funnels in a flash with GetResponse’s predesigned professional scenarios, that includes signup page, follow-up e-mail, order form, deserted cart email, verification e-mail, and much more.

Each scenario set consists of high-quality images, styles and professional sales copy. You just need to click one you desire and add triggers, conditions and tags according to your choices to proceed.

With GetResponse, you can also establish ultimate automated workflows based upon time intervals (for instance, a welcome message that is sent 5 minutes after somebody signs up for your page) or activate them on the basis of customers’ actions or data.

GetResponse also has integrated studies …
If you wish to survey your list to get more details about demographics, you can quickly set up the survey from ideal inside GetResponse … It’s an easy, quick procedure and Aweber has absolutely nothing comparable … You ‘d have to buy a 3rd party survey system simply to do this.

GetResponse is full of totally free stock images
If you want to use images in your e-mails or in your opt-in kinds, GetResponse has a handle iStockPhoto and they have a thousand stock images available for GetResponse users. Can’t beat that!

GetResponse has a lot more instinctive reporting (in my opinion). I can far more quickly evaluate the statistics of among my lists or all of my lists simultaneously. Aweber makes this truly challenging. I like having an overview of the statistics of my whole account, as opposed to just taking a look at the stats of just one list at a time.

GetResponse allows me to search requirements throughout all of my lists instead of just one at a time. This was a big disappointment for me with Aweber. If I was searching for customers that met a specific requirements, I had to check out each list individually to find what I was trying to find. It was quite discouraging.

… One thing that I saw after I made the switch … Deliverability went up! Emails in my followup sequence that, at one time, got a 15% open rate are now receiving a 30% open rate with GetResponse. Very same precise list with a new autoresponder … This makes me believe that emails from Aweber aren’t getting in to the inbox as well as GetResponse emails are. I wasn’t expecting this but it’s absolutely a HUGE bonus offer.

In general, they are both fantastic services and costs are quite equivalent. I think GetResponse is really a little more affordable per customer (but still pretty similar). I don’t have much bad to state about Aweber but I’m gradually becoming a raving fan of GetResponse.

AWeber Vs GetResponse: The Verdict
Both GetResponse and Aweber supply plenty of tools to help businesses create e-mails, interact with their lists, and provide highly efficient supporting campaigns.

I can securely state that GetResponse comes out as the winner in this contrast. Get Response Questions.
